Do you deliver every image you shoot?
No, And that is a good thing. I remove redundant duplicates, blurry and blinky images and provide multiple views of the same scenario. So instead of spending hours looking through hundreds of photos to find your favorite, I do all the work and provide only the best.
A standard wedding with a reception should take between 8-9 hours. This should allow you to cover everything from the moment you get ready until the time of your grand exit. This will allow you to have coverage from the moment you get ready until your grand exit.
Getting Ready Photos: approximately 1 hour. I will have enough time to take photos of details and cover you doing your hair, makeup, and finally putting on your gown. This coverage is highly recommended. This is the best time to take photos of your shoes and dress before you put them on. It's also the time when I capture some of my favorite images of the bride. It is a great way to tell the story of your wedding day in items like albums. If you would like me to cover the groom getting ready but don't want a second photographer, we can discuss logistics and if more time or a second photographer may be required.
Couples portraits should take 30 min to an hour. If you are able and willing to have these done prior to the ceremony, this is when your make up is the freshest. Additional time will be required if we are going to a particular location for portraits.
Family and wedding party formals take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on how large your family is and how many groups you choose. These are usually taken right before or after the ceremony. We will go over a list of what photos You want to estimate exactly how long.
I immediately save the images to two external hard drives. I also have an online backup that begins as soon as I upload the images to my computer. You can read more about this in my blog ( Chaz Link the blog)
Contact me asap to see if we are available for the new date you have in mind. If we are open on the new day we will move the wedding day.
I currently prefer to work with one wedding couple per day, but I have in the past. If I book a wedding lasting 1-2 hours and get an inquiry about another wedding that takes 1-2 hours, with enough time between them, I might consider booking the additional wedding.
While I always say, never feel rushed or pressured to book your photographer, Once you have decided, i wouldn't wait. Contact me as soon as possible once you have confirmed your wedding date. Some wedding dates book a month in advance, others 2 years in advance. So, it is better to book your date sooner than later.
I photograph weddings in a journalistic manner. I'm very hands-off in my coverage and not intrusive. Though I'm very involved in the directions and posing of the couples and groups for the posed portraits, and I would love to spend an hour with you two during the day to take some creative poses of you. The images I take of guests at weddings are almost entirely journalistic. I prefer to capture guests having fun, laughing, drinking and having a great time.
